The use of a major tonality in themes for the news is a bit silly. Say there were bushfires as the ending montage for the news. Major tonality, whether it is intended or not, will give a subconscious feeling of happiness. Happiness that there are massive bushfires burning their way towards your loved ones?I call for MODAL NEWS THEMES from now on.

Although I've started a new paragraph I actually have more complaints about the news. Can't complain about Andvari though, the ending is really pretty. Nowhere on the weather reports does it mention the date. If I recorded the news, perhaps doing a research paper on the existence of global warming (a futile task), I would panic when the weatherman said "today looks like a top of 25 and a minimum of 13, showers increasing until Tuesday". AHH WHICH TUESDAY!! HELLPP!!

Hair is silly. Especially the stuff on your head. So you step out of the shower, fix your hair the way you like it, go put clothes on and after 5 minutes you look in the mirror and realise that your hair has actually gone back in time roughly 5 minutes. The only way to remedy this is to put countless kilograms of product in it, which, although the shape is right, the substance is not. PLEASE, someone help me out with this dilemma.

I think I'll add another constant section to my chronicles: Lyric Of The Week. The line that makes me go "oh yeah that's clever!". This week I guess it has to go to the lyric that had everybody raving when the song was released:
"If love is a bolt from the blue, then what is that bolt but a glorified screw?
And that doesn't hold nothing together."
If you don't know where it's from, look it up you lazy knob.

Because of the quasi-outrage at my rant on the last blog post, I guess I will have to comment on it. It turns out that people do, in fact, think in articulate sentences. This strikes me as a fairly inefficient way of thinking. However after further research it turns out that different people actually think in different mediums. Pictures, gists, feelings, emotions: all examples of alternatives to sentence-thinking. Please, leave your thoughts underneath, I might even do my PhD on it.

Until next time.

  1. I like how you are complaining about hair and you have about two centimetres of it on your head. I've always thought (coz I've obviously meditated and thought about this issue alot) the use major tonality in news theme gives more of a feeling of importance and authority but i see your point. haha I like how you ask for our thoughts on our thoughts. If i wanted to be clever i would post a picture of something that i am thinking on the topic of thoughts but that would require effort. =)

  2. Interesting read AV, as for alternative thought processing it is evident in everyday life. One person may look at a cloud and see a elephant playing a kazoo, and another may see a stratus cloud signaling oncoming drizzle. It all comes down to our own internal thought process.
