Top Bloke Award: Creepy guy at the Cas with the reflective glasses who had a long chat to us about blackjack.

The use of a major tonality in themes for the news is a bit silly. Say there were bushfires as the ending montage for the news. Major tonality, whether it is intended or not, will give a subconscious feeling of happiness. Happiness that there are massive bushfires burning their way towards your loved ones?I call for MODAL NEWS THEMES from now on.

Although I've started a new paragraph I actually have more complaints about the news. Can't complain about Andvari though, the ending is really pretty. Nowhere on the weather reports does it mention the date. If I recorded the news, perhaps doing a research paper on the existence of global warming (a futile task), I would panic when the weatherman said "today looks like a top of 25 and a minimum of 13, showers increasing until Tuesday". AHH WHICH TUESDAY!! HELLPP!!

Hair is silly. Especially the stuff on your head. So you step out of the shower, fix your hair the way you like it, go put clothes on and after 5 minutes you look in the mirror and realise that your hair has actually gone back in time roughly 5 minutes. The only way to remedy this is to put countless kilograms of product in it, which, although the shape is right, the substance is not. PLEASE, someone help me out with this dilemma.

I think I'll add another constant section to my chronicles: Lyric Of The Week. The line that makes me go "oh yeah that's clever!". This week I guess it has to go to the lyric that had everybody raving when the song was released:
"If love is a bolt from the blue, then what is that bolt but a glorified screw?
And that doesn't hold nothing together."
If you don't know where it's from, look it up you lazy knob.

Because of the quasi-outrage at my rant on the last blog post, I guess I will have to comment on it. It turns out that people do, in fact, think in articulate sentences. This strikes me as a fairly inefficient way of thinking. However after further research it turns out that different people actually think in different mediums. Pictures, gists, feelings, emotions: all examples of alternatives to sentence-thinking. Please, leave your thoughts underneath, I might even do my PhD on it.

Until next time.

Song of the Week: "When Two Are One"- Atreyu

Top Bloke Award: Pending...TBA.

I really don't like it when people write quotes and then add "I hear you ask" at the end. That may be a fairly negative comment to start an entire blog with, but I had to say it because that was exactly what I was about to do. "'What's with the title?' I hear you ask". See? Doesn't that just shit you? I mean firstly they most probably weren't your exact words, and secondly, who actually thinks in WORDS? People think in THOUGHTS, they're not articulate enough to make a sweeping generalisation like that.

So after that rant I should probably actually explain what my title is about. My introduction to the blogging world was inspired mostly by the blog by my friend Gerarda (www.fallingjuiceboxes.blogspot.com) and partly by Tim Minchin's friend, the Bedroom Philosopher. However it is Gerarda that provides the inspiration for this title (see her blog for details).

The musings of my life from this point onwards, contained in this blog, will most likely be written on public transport. Hence please forgive my switching of thought-trains as I will most probably have switched actual physical trains.

I like the idea of having constant sections in a blog. This idea is inspired by the Bedroom Philosopher. Hence the following sections will hopefully be constant throughout each blog I write:
Song of the Week: Self-explanatory, yeah? The song that strikes me most in the week; probably the one that makes the people around me freak out most due to my silent headbanging. This week the winner is "When Two Are One"- Atreyu. It has that perfect mix of a mellow beginning followed by a wall of sound that will blow your mind.
Top Bloke Award: This will be awarded to the person who is not necessarily a top bloke towards me, but who is recognised as deserving of this award. For a clichéd example, a guy who helps an old lady cross the road.
Currently Listening To: Basically my music on shuffle. Whatever comes on while I'm blogging. Boring, but this is supposed to be an insight into my life right? So deal with it, bitch.

Until next time.
